Finance

Kells Parish has 2 churches that require constant maintenance and
at times considerable capital outlay.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION/ENVELOPE COLLECTION

The finances required to administer our Parish and equip and maintain our Churches and Parish Buildings are raised solely from our weekly Offertory and Envelope Collections.

Some of our current expenses are really quite startling -

Annual Insurance €6500, Oil €13878, electricity €4250 (year 2011)
Added to this there will also be Capital Expenditure every few years on Church and Parish Buildings.
Well maintained and heated buildings are a fitting reflection of our devotion to the Liturgy and provide an environment where the Liturgy can be enjoyed and reflected upon.

Added to Church expenses we also have the cost of parish administration - Office, wages, telephone, paper, heating, web site maintenance, rates etc.

The Parish Finance and Administration Committee are a voluntary group who provide transparency and make decisions on the methods of collection and the areas of expenditure  - both currrent and capital - in the parish. Further information on the Committee are provided in Directory/Parish Groups/Finance Committee.

The Committee invite you to find out more about our system of financing by clicking below on 'Church Income'.
