Trying to locate relatives of Christopher C. Foley
My father, Christopher C. Foley, was born in 1925 in Eccleston, Kells, Co. Meath, the son of Thomas Foley and Margaret Smith. Sadly, Christy passed away on Good Friday, April 14, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Christy left Ireland in the 40's to find work in England and then he emigrated to Canada in 1947. He was followed there by his brother Patrick (Paddy) who had married Evelyn (nee Reilly).
I\'m writing this so that perhaps someone could help me contact relatives of my father; he had misplaced his phone book and I've no way to contact his cousins Moira Reynolds and Rita Tully (née Hand?) to tell them of his death. Moira had a brother and sister, Fr. Keiran Reynolds, of France and Vera Royes, of Australia, both of whom are sadly no longer with us. Rita has 3 adult children, one of whom is married to Bertie Cunningham, the Meath all Ireland footballer. Two other cousins, Dr. Seamus Smith and Mary O'Hanlon are in, or near, Dublin. Would anyone be able to help me locate these cousins or pass on the sad news about my father? My email address is mmfoley@hotmail.com
This site was recommended to me by Séan Quigley, another son of Kells who now lives in Toronto.
Thank you Kells Parish – and thank you, Sean.
Sincerely,
Margaret Foley

Hi Martin, Hope all are doing well in the P house, Was home in May and finally got to see the church,It was so beautiful good job. Got to see Fr Conlan on his trip he performed my niece's christening in Corktown, She was y blessed on the day with family, friends and the best weather I have seen there in a long while , I think everyone had the Child of Prague out on the day . Say hi to all, Will be in touch soon, Keep the site going strong on your end and we will on ours .

It was delightful to see the slide presentation of the interior of the church in the photo gallery. I was in Kells at the end of November 2005, but at the time I was there the church wasn't open. So this evening I've had the vicarious experience of touring the church from a distance of over 3000 miles! It is lovely and you can justly be proud of its beauty.
Blessings upon the parish and the people of Kells during this holy Easter Season.
Warmly,
Dr. Peg Hanson
