PARISH FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE

Canon Law (Canon 537)  states 'In each Parish there is to be a Finance Committee to help the Parish Priest in the administration of the goods of the Parish'.

The Committee also handle the routine of dealing with civic decisions, which affect the smooth running of the Parish.

Over the last year or so the Committee has negotiated with the local UDC in relation to the area owned by the Parish which is located in front of the Church in Headfort Place. The aim of the Committee is to guarantee our parishioners and others attending Church ceremonies that priority car parking is available to these people, while also making some parking available to the general public outside of these times.

Every January the Committee prepare a Financial Statement which is presented to all parishioners on a designated Sunday.

The members of the Committee are

Fergus Carolan (Chairman), Sean Drew, Mary Fitzpatrick, Phyllis Barrett, Michael Keaveny and Fr. John.
