The present St. Colmcille's Church was opened in 1960. The Church replaced an older church which dated back to 1800. Building had commenced on this older church in 1798 - the year of the uprising.

Little structural work has been done on the new Church since 1960 - except the removal and relocation of the Altar Rails.

A MAJOR RENOVATION PROGRAMME BY THE REFURBISHMENT COMMITTEE WAS COMPLETED
IN SEPT 2005.

Our Parish Church will become a more appealing focus for ceremonies and for prayer.
